As part of a PBiS Celebration, the students earned a special reward of baking with Mrs. LaCasse. Darlene LaCasse is Woodbury's PBiS coordinator, and as a reward each grade was able to spend an hour with Mrs. LaCasse baking bear paw cookies. At the end of the week they decorated the extra cookies and enjoyed them the day before April Break.
On Tuesday, April 28th the students celebrated National Walk At Lunch Day. To remind students of the importance of exercise, the whole school took an hour long walk in Woodbury. Because Green Up Day is also the same week, the students were able to pick up trash and participate in "Greening Up" Woodbury as they walked. It was a beautiful day and we were able to pick up a significant amount of litter!
In honor or national reading week and library month, Woodbury school is encouraging students and adults alike to GET CAUGHT READING! Have a smartphone? A camera? Take a quick photo of your child reading and send it to Noreen in the office at firstname.lastname@example.org

On Monday January 12 Woodbury students went cross-country skiing at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. The weather was just right, with a fresh coat of snow on the trails. The kids had a blast. We are looking forward to more skiing trips later this winter.
5th and 6th graders learned about different holidays around the world. After their research, they presented what they learned and shared some of the food associated with each holiday with the school.

The Woodbury Bear visited the kids during one of our weekly Wednesday morning meetings. Parents, friends, and community members are welcome to attend any of these weekly meetings to see what the kids are learning about. The meeting starts at 7:50 am. Each week a different class or staff member leads the meeting.
