K-2 Team
Joan Eldred has been teaching at Woodbury Elementary for 21 years. She has had a variety of experience at the K-2 level. She loves to travel, read, garden and cook.
Heather Gilcris-Kehoe started at Woodbury Elementary in 2000 and has been teaching Kindergarten for six years. Heather has a variety of preschool and Kindergarten experience. She enjoys scrapbooking and camping with her family.
3-6 Team
Dave Swanson has been teaching 3rd-6th grade students for the past year at Woodbury Elementary. He has been in the field of education for the past 10 years working with students from preschool through eighth grade. Dave is currently pursuing a Masters in Education at Johnson State College. He enjoys skiing, skydiving, gardening and reading books.
Iza Titus began her teaching career in 2009. She originally hails from New York, but has spent the last several years on the west coast. Now a Woodbury resident, she loves the quiet and solitude of the Green Mountains, as well as the friendliness and openness of her new neighbors.
Specialists
Margaret Stocksdale has been the Reading Specialist for Woodbury Elementary for 9 years. She will be working in the K-2 unit in the areas of reading, writing and spelling. She will also provide interventions for students who need extra support in the area of reading. Margaret loves playing and singing in her band.
Amelia Fritz is the new Learning Coordinator at Woodbury Elementary and will provide services for students in need of specialized instruction. She was the Reading Specialist and Learning Coordinator at Hazen for 6 years. She also taught English as a Second Language in Mexico for a year. She loves to kayak, hike, garden and practice yoga.
Penny Cahill has been working as a Para-educator for the past year at Woodbury Elementary. She has worked in education for the last 8 years from preschool to high school. She recently graduated from Goddard College with a degree in Elementary Education and is now pursuing her Masters in Education at Union Institute. She loves cooking and volunteers at the Woodbury Library and Fire Department.
